Sacred Cacao Ceremony
Friday, September 16th 2022
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The College Of Psychic Studies.- 16 Queensberry Place, London, SW7 2EB.
Come together with Itzhak Beery at the College in London for a magical shamanic healing cacao ceremony.
The Mayan and Aztec civilisations considered cacao to be the sacred 'Food of the Gods' or a 'superfood' for its rich substances: antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. Cacao was allowed to be consumed only by the ruling classes and to be traded by way of money.
The cacao ceremony is intended to open one's heart to each other and the cosmos.
This specially made heirloom cacao drink – not hallucinogenic – is prepared using an indigenous formula, which allows us to share our heart stories, setting intentions for the future, expressing deep wishes and hidden prayers in our own authentic voice, and in a safe space.
Throughout this in-person ceremony at our College in London, we will be visioning and journeying, singing, making music, and telling heart stories.
During the ceremony, you will be asked to lie down. Yoga mats, blankets and cushions will be provided by the College. However, you are welcome to bring any additional personal props that will support your comfort - an extra yoga mat, blanket, cushion, eye cover etc.

Shamanic Divination and Diagnostic Techniques
Every healing system needs accurate methods to diagnose illness or imbalance.
The most ancient of all healing traditions is shamanism.

Shamans and healers the world over have for millennia trained to be able to 'see' into their patients' physical, emotional and energy bodies, to observe them and then decide the best way to bring about healing.
They do this by journeying in "non-ordinary reality" to obtain information about the causes and cures of their clients' conditions from the spirit world.
In this intensive in-person workshop at our College in London, we will focus on mastering some of shamanism's diagnostic techniques.
This workshop will include learning how to:

- Use stones for divination
- And much more

Embody the Andean Cosmology: Learn the sacred sunrise movements and spiritual wisdom to enhance your life
Full day in-person workshop
Saturday, September 17th
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM GMT - Barnes Green Centre, SW13 9HE
In the high Andes of Ecuador, there is a strong awareness of and reverence for Pachamama–Mother Earth–and Taita Inti–Father Sun. All life, they regard, sprung out of this sacred duality of the masculine and the feminine. The Andean principle of Ayni–Sacred Reciprocity–would not exist without those two forces, as reciprocity requires duality. For the people of the Andes, those are not just theoretical principles but practical ways of living.
One form of applying those principles in everyday life is a unique set of sunrise exercises that might resemble Yoga, Tai Chi, and QiGong. It’s a series of sacred movements to connect with the energies of Earth and Sun, create balance and invigorate the body to prepare for the new day. After the body’s idle night time, it strengthens and stretches the muscles, activates the digestion system and the joints, and helps increase the flow of oxygen and life force to the inner organs.
In this practical one-day workshop, shamanic teacher and author Itzhak Beery will describe the cosmology and principles of the interconnection between Pachamama and Taita Inti. In this class, we explore the energetic bubble that surrounds humans and shields us from negative energies and how our body movements and spiritual intentions can affect those fields.

This is a powerful shamanic experiential evening, where you will journey into the dimensions of dreamtime, and altered states. It is a vision quest that challenges your inner warrior, and your sense of space, time and direction, as you step into the mystery of dreamtime.
In a special traditional ceremony, we honor the Guayusa tree spirit with chants, songs and music. As we sip the sacred tea, we go into deep meditative silence in complete darkness, to encounter and communicate with our spirit guides and other spirits, to enable us to bring new visions and awareness into our lives.

Are you also feeling dragged into the future kicking and screaming? Yes. This turbulent time makes little sense at all. We are in a time of mindless wars, cruel dictators, brazen oligarchs, climate catastrophes, pandemics, mass shootings, and mind-boggling greed perpetuated by big lies, conspiracy theories, and climate catastrophes. We are witnessing systematic racism, police brutality, and anti-democracy coup. Rights for women and LGBTQ people are under attack. What’s going on, and why is it happening now?
Shamanic author, healer, and international teacher, Itzhak Beery, will describe the meaning of it and the way we can move forward to a more promising future. In this lecture, he will share two wisdom teachings from the indigenous people of South America. The prophecy and symbolism of the “Condor and the Eagle” of the High Andes and the parable of “Meeting of the Waters” told by the Manaus people of the Rio Negro of Brazil.

The Amazonian Kichwa people of Ecuador believe that the Guayusa plant taught human beings how to dream. It is also called “The Night Watchman” because it sharpens the hunter’s instincts to keep focused energy, while bringing in night vision and awareness. Kichwa families drink gourds of Guayusa around the communal fire from dawn till sunrise as a way to create a tribal bond, and rejuvenate their spirit and bodies. During this time, they share their night’s dreams as the shaman interprets them, so they can plan the day’s course of action. This is also the time when the elders teach the youth about ancestral myths, hunting practices and social ethics. Guayusa, similar to yerba maté, is a medicinal plant that contains caffeine without the rugged edges, and it’s filled with healthy antioxidants. It also has theobromine, found in chocolate, and L- theanine, found in green tea. You will feel fully alive. It is not hallucinating; it simply activates the brain, not allowing it to go deep into theta/delta states (below the level of the conscious mind), which allows you to “see” your visions. |
